If your memory card or USB drive is showing the file system is RAW this means the partition is corrupt or missing. In order to format the card/USB drive you will first need to create a new partition.
To create a newpartitionor logical drive on a basic disk:
Open the computer managment console and on the left side select disk management
1. In theDisk Managementwindow, complete one of the following procedures, and then continue:
- To create a newpartition, right-clickunallocated or RAW spaceon the basic disk where you want to create thepartition, and then clickNew Partition (Win XP)orNew Simple Volume (Win Vista, 7 and 8).
2. In the NewPartitionWizard clickNext
3. For the partition or volume size use the default settings which will create a single partition on the card/USB drive. Click Next
4. Assign a drive letter for the card/USB drive. (make sure to select a drive letter not currently being used by another drive)
5. Choose the file system in which you would like to format the card/USB drive. We would recommend FAT32 or exFAT. Click Next
6.Click Finishto complete partitioning and formatting the drive
