The Honolulu Liquor Commission is launching our new online Virtual Server Training & Test for managers and bartenders. Trainees have two options to attend a server training class: virtual (online) or in-person. To ensure trainees are safely distanced, available seats for in-person training are limited.
To register for a Virtual Server Training & Test:
1. Go to our Event Calendar and select a date
(Monday, Wednesday, or Friday - 10:00 a.m.)
2. Click on the registration link and complete the registration form.
3. Once your registration has been approved, you will receive a
confirmation email. (Save this email. The link to the virtual
training session will be included in the confirmation email.)
4. On the day of the training, click the 'join the session' link
(found in the confirmation email).
5. Download the Server Training Handout prior to the start of the
training session. Follow the presentation. At the conclusion of
the presentation, an online test will be given.
6. Upon successful completion of the training session, you will
receive an email from the Honolulu Liquor Commission,
certifying your completion.
7. Schedule an appointment using AlohaQ to get your liquor card.
Bring your required documents with you (valid gov't ID, SS Card
or printed W2 for new customer, Manager form for
blue or purple card, and $10 per card).

Training and Education


The Honolulu Liquor Commission offers Server Training for anyone hired to work as a Manager, Assistant Manager, or Bartender at a liquor licensed permise on Oahu.

Attendees must first successfully complete the Server Training program by attending the Server Training and passing the examination to be eligible to obtain their Certificate of Registration (Liquor Card)

Please review the Employee Registration Requirements and bring your required documentation (original copies) with you to the training class.
Please do not bring children into the classroom or leave them in the lobby area while you are in training.

The Server-Training program consists of the following areas:

1) Identifying and dealing with intoxicated persons,
2) Reviewing liquor lawsand rules, and
3) Dangers of driving while intoxicated.
